4. Murkar Tue 16 Sep 2008 01:04 Hi all, just finished watching this and it's excellent; just to bring up one thing though, he says you can just put it on tinfoil on the bottom of an electric oven.

Don't do this.

It shorts out your oven and kills the elements. A huge amount of people put tinfoil on the bottom of their ovens and just replace it as it gets dirty, and then they're elements die after a while because they short out. Temperatures go really whack and the like.

Anyways, people generally end up buying a new oven because the old one's shorted out and they think it doesn't work; the store buys the old one, replaces the destroyed elements and resells the perfectly fine oven you just sold.

The point of this is just to let you know; don't be lazy, clean your goddamn oven and it will probably work well for the next thirty years, no problem.

One more thing; TO THE ADMIN: you're uploading videos in FLV format guys. DUH. These don't work with iPods, or zunes, or pretty much any computer. Not even windows media player; you need riva or flv player to play them. so when you've subscribed to the podcast, the only ones that you can get are the ones uploaded in a format that works, such as a .wmv, so even if the podcast was working your videos wouldn't work.

PLEASE FIX THIS! Lot's of people subscribe to your vodcasts so you really should have it up and going.

Particularly this one which is sooo familiar Here in my country most people with open spaces build this oven but instead of using bricks they use mud
We prepare most of the meals there and they're delicious

Stephanie Ross Sun 13 Jul 2008 01:59 As Chef at a B&B at an elevation of 7800+ feet on a rather remote mountain top I am always looking for a new way to entertain as I cook for the guests at the B&B and at home. Do you have a plan for the construction of the brick overn you use in the garden on your 'Jamie At Home' show. At my home I do a lot of cooking on an outdoor fire on the ground or on the 'vessel' which is a firepit 4 feet above ground and 4 feet across. I do a lot of cooking on Aspen wood coals.
If you have that plan for the brick oven or if you know where I can purchase the plan I would appreciate your letting me know.

Anne-Maria (Bee) Salmon Sat 12 Jul 2008 07:42 I found that the pizza dough had a realy good flavour when it was made the night before and left over night in the fridge. ..mind you..it did still continue to rise a bit and almost took over the fridge ! I think that I can see where I went wrong, Jamie Oliver has his pizza dough sealed in a plastic bag, I had mine in a large bowl that was covered in clingfilm .
What was said about the pork fat being pureed and added to the pizza dough was very interesting, I am sure that it would give the dough a great flavour .

I agree about topin pizzas, when topping pizza its very much a case of .."Less is More" ..you do not need much topping to acheive a realy good and tasty pizza .
