The first time I tried this one out I got confused with the sour cream tub, because the one in the video looks considerably bigger than the ones you can find in super markets here. So I decided to use 2 and ended up with mud topped result...
But I learned that 250gr of sour cream is enough after all (duh!, so the second trial was a triumph! I brought it to a movie night at a friend's house and it got rave reviews! Fluffy, dense and aromatic and the lemon icing is such a lovely surprise for tastebuds!
Way to go, Jamie!

Are you people deaf? Why do you need a written recipe for? He mentions all the ingredients and the proportions in the video!

Not bad. I made simular to this 2 weeks ago except minus the poppyseeds and lemon...lol. Banana and dark cane are a great mix!
I dont know though...I dont think i like the idea of taking 2 classics and putting them together Jamie O? Do u? The dark cane and lemon.. i dont know, may be I'm just picky.
You know what I would suggest though, if you wanna add a twist to an old classic? Try adding a spice to the banana cake. I added nutmeg and cinnamin, and man did it rock! Another time I added choc chips to banana...
ALso I am not so into the runny glaze. I prefer whipped butter, cream cheese (just a bit, not too much) and icing sugar. With a dash o lemon:)
Anyway, just a thought. Keep up the great ideas though.

Hi Jamie, I think you are an absolute whiz-kid and even at my venerable age (69) I find your enthusiasm for cooking really inspiring.
