4. cookintraining Fri 03 Jul 2009 @ 04:32 PS Vinny, keep up the work in highschool, you'll need it if you want to be like Jamie Oliver!
5. cookintraining Fri 03 Jul 2009 @ 04:29 Keep up the good work Vinny. Sounds like you know your path right now - it seems hard when most people in the world don't. Well done and keep it up. A desire like that and you'll be unstoppable. Pair it with a great mentor like Jamie Oliver and you'll be beyond beyond. Way to pick your path and your mentor. Kudos and good job.
6. Allison Mon 22 Jun 2009 @ 06:33 Jamie, you NEED to help this kid out. At least keep track of him and make sure he's going down the right path. It seems like he really wants to.
7. Vinny Rajagopalan Mon 06 Oct 2008 @ 23:41 dear jamie, my name is vinny and im 14 years old. i love cooking so much man, honestly,i want to be a chef so bad when i get older, its really all i want.i hate school so much, and the only thing i actally like to do is draw and do art, i really enjoy that.i cant really picture myself making it all the way through highschool though. i live in calgary, and the food scene is absolutely horrible here. i cook everyday at home, im even writing my own recipe book that i put together writing down my own stuff that i cooked up. your an idol of mine, and one day i really want to work with you as your apprentice and learn the ropes from you, sorta like you were with gennaro. i want to be a chef so bad, its all i think about really. i started cooking when i was about ten years old, ever since then i havent stopped man. we got my mom your cook book for a christmas a few years back, and then i became intersted in what you did and started to watch your shows. ever since then i always thought you were a genius. i want to help people when i grow up by showing them the love of cooking. the diets of thousands, maybe evn millions of north americans are terrible, with processed and cheap disgusting food that is turning two of the worlds leading nations into some of the most unhealthiest people. i feel terrible watching these young kids getting diabetes and sicknesses from all the shit that they consume at home and at these fast food joints. i may not be able to do anything now, but one day, i really want to do something to fix this. i hope you read this dude, it would make me so happy if you do. i really want to become a student of yours when i grow up, maybe even your apprentice man. im gonna send my resume out to some of the restaraunts in downtown to see if they'll take me as a dish boy or a veg. prepper. im really excited to get experience, and i really want to get a hang of things soon enough. thanks for listening friend, you've really inspired me in so many ways. props man, vinny r
