4. Varya Mon 09 Mar 2009 @ 13:35 Hi, Jamie!!!
I'm from Moscow, Russia!
I love watching your show (thanks to TV prodecers we have it!)
I bought your book "My Italy" - because my husband and I adore italian food!
It's really very easy to understand all these receipts. And you wrote it in a very friendly and simple form, as if you were sitting infront of me and saying everything in personal.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent in kooking with us!
good luck!!!!
Varvara.

10. Justin M. Mon 15 Dec 2008 @ 10:48 Jamie -

Thank you so much for putting these videos on the web. I have been the "official house chef" for many years and enjoy watching you cook, often simply to learn the various techniques you use. Here in the US, your shows are hardly ever on TV - I don't think they ever aired your school dinners series. So, I find these mini-episodes a great resource and appreciate them.

Any plans to do a verbal (non-video) Podcast? I subscribed to a few a while back but they haven't been around in ages.

Thanks again -

J
11. Joseph Sun 07 Dec 2008 @ 10:54 Jamie! Thank you very much!!! I'm from the Philippines and I'm fourteen. Well, yeah my mom thinks that I'm to young to cook. I'm planning to prove her wrong. With the help of your book, of course. I'm gonna ask my parents for your book "Jamie's ministry of food" on my birthday. Cheers!

21. margidenchef Tue 18 Nov 2008 @ 23:37 I just watched your video's and you make it seem so simple and very good. I like the idea of watching video's and maybe someone will buy me the book for christmas. Wow!!!!! Blows the mind doesn't it.

i have watched your tv shows and Ministry of food ones especially. I can't understand how anyone can think that takeaways are economical. Even for two people. I learnt on a budget years ago so hope to share my thoughts on cooking one day.
22. kate Tue 18 Nov 2008 @ 19:59 i just bought the ministry of food book, and its fantastic. i was brought up on ready made fish fingers or pizza and over boiled limp looking veg like a lot of other people my age. when i had my own child at the age of 18 i panicked and honestly thought i didnt have the ability to learn how to cook just because i had never been taught at home or in school. this book has given me my confidence back after successfully cooking the vegetable jalfrezi curry. btw butternut squash is a delicious vegetable which i had never even tasted before in all my 21 years of existence!!! i am now going to cook one meal each day from the book and pass it on to my friends
23. Richellene Mon 17 Nov 2008 @ 08:54 Hi Jamie, i am a Filipino living in Hongkong. I bought your Ministry of Food book two weeks ago and i just want to say how much i love it! So, now i found your website and im soooo uber happy about it! I love cooking for my husband and hopefuly to our future children! Take care and more power to you and your family!

28. Marieke Fri 07 Nov 2008 @ 15:47 Hello Jamie,

29. Claire Pomeroy Sun 19 Oct 2008 @ 17:18 My husband and I are having a murder mystery night this weekend - in Dubai. And we need some quick and easy dishes for the night. I've never been into cooking very much but I have just looked at Jamie's recent 10 videos for quick dishes. And you know what I've got the bug to cook! Cheers Jamie. Your tips of which cream to cook with and how to chop the ingredients is brill.

Hope to see you over here soon Jamie.

Happy Days

Claire
30. Karen Sat 18 Oct 2008 @ 11:01 Jamie, another fantastic idea from you. It is a shame that a great percentage of the population is too set in their ways even to get healthy. I would say it is more expensive to eat unhealthily !! - just take a look at the cost of a burger and chips and multiply that for a family of five !

Bring back proper Home Economics in school. Lets start the kids cooking from Year 1 rather than year 5.

Good luck with this project.
Karen
31. annette plumridge Sat 18 Oct 2008 @ 02:07 fantastic what more can be said
32. Francisco Anwandter Thu 16 Oct 2008 @ 17:28 SIMPLY GRAET!!!
33. James Fry Thu 16 Oct 2008 @ 01:11 @Michael Clare:

That is a really good idea. I'm getting on a plane for a flight to the US later this week, and I was just thinking how good it would be to look through these recipes on my iPod during the flight.

The 3GPP format is a really good idea - I'm sick of people telling me I have to get this latest funny video on my phone; I'd much rather have decent recipes to try!

And Jamie - congratulations - reviving the ministry of food with a modern twist is one hell of an achievement!

34. Michael Clare Wed 15 Oct 2008 @ 00:12 Hi Jamie,

I was just wondering if there are any plans to make more use of the internet and digital media to pass it on.

It seems to me (and from reading comments on the site) that non experienced cooks generally prefer to see meals cooked as oppossed to reading recipes which can often rely on some basic understanding.

I think it would be great to place videos in downloadable formats so that people could potentially upload them to Itunes and drop them onto their IPods MP4 Format. Or in mobile phone 3GP format so that it can be downloaded then bluetoothed between people.

These are then portable enough to take with you into the kitchen and have to hand.

If this sounds to advanced, then the ingredients could also be made available in text format for mobile phones, making it very easy for people to text it, or bluetooth when chatting down the pub.

Most people keep texts and have phones to hand making it easy to pass recipes on. I am sure recipes could be passed on as easily as crap jokes!

The text could even be sponsored by supermarkets to buy instore and recieve a discount.

As I am in the online advertising business, I think there is the potential to create a business model to cover any associated costs, as I am sure advertisers would sponsor mobile ads in texts or place pre roll advertising on the videos

If you are interested in exploring these ideas further then please feel free to get in contact

Keep up the good work

Regards

Michael

35. Sonia Tue 14 Oct 2008 @ 23:06 Ooooh.. can't wait to try this tomorrow, will be interesting to see whether my son likes the mint, have already printed out quite a few of the recipes to try, one way of getting my son to eat is to show him that it's a Jamie Oliver recipe. Keep up the good work mate!
36. Xander Fri 10 Oct 2008 @ 10:25 Your cooking is simple and everybody can understand and make it.But i don't have the feeling you like doing it.I miss the smile and the happy moving person and the twinkel in your eyes of making it.
37. lwelshy Thu 09 Oct 2008 @ 19:16 Jamie thanks for amazing ideas and brill step by step instructions on how to cook. My Only problem is that i do like to see how things are cooked rather than just read it and look at the pictures. Ive found the videos here very usefull in conjunction with your book the ministy of food. Is there any possible way that you will bring out a dvd or several dvd's maybe to acompany the book? it is impossible for me to take my computer to the kitchen but i do have a dvd player there and it would help loads.

Thank you for helping me love to cook again, your doing a great job :o)
