What a waste! Just snip off the lower, smaller leaves, trim the stem a bit, then put them in a large pot of salted, boiling water, and enjoy! Why cut off half the leaves? Maybe that's the way 'professionals' do it, but regular people, who like to cook because they like to eat do it my way. IMHO.

Good tip however I only found out by watching it. Would be great if you add caption on as I am deaf myself. Would benefit to all hard of hearing people.

Point out that you can also boil up an artichoke and dip with butter...

It's nice. I want to make an artichoke dish for a long time, but I just don't know how to prepare it correctly. Thank you for sharing.
Yet, the audio effect has to be improved. The voice is not very clear even I have switched to the highest volume.
