christmas, my nan's favourite christmas pud

Thu 11 Dec 2008 @ 10:48 My Nan makes a wicked Christmas pudding. What I like about it is that she's fiddled over the years with combinations of fruit and incorporated breadcrumbs which lightens it.

1. Rob Newbury Thu 26 Nov 2009 @ 15:49 Just dug out your xmas pudding recipe and it looks great. The only thing that i am unsure about is the milk in it. I want to make the pudding now (4 weeks before Xmas), but will the milk go sour in the pudding in the 4 weeks ? Do i store it in a fridge ? Or just at room temp in a dark spot ?

6. iamsympatico Sat 03 Jan 2009 @ 05:07 Just wondering if Cherry Brandy would work? I am always scared to try something new and it doesn't work out. It feels like you are wasting good food.
7. sharon russell Sun 28 Dec 2008 @ 15:40 the most memorable thing about christmas 2008.
My mates brother scott fairley cooked jamies nans christmas pudding, he gave it to his sister, who i called into to give pressies to just as they were finnishing dinner, the kids didnt want any pud as they were playing, so i got offered a sample of the pud, it was fabulous, better than anything ive eaten over christmas, a most memorable pudding, so here i am looking up the recipe myself, thanks jamie scott michelle nad pru, and the kids for not wanting theirs.
