About
Living in Oxford, I've been to Jamie's Italian 4 times now.
I love cooking and eating however my body finds it easy to stack on fat, so I concentrate on eating well and cooking delicious food that will not cause an increase in body fat.

jamies Italian Friday night
Thu 30 Oct 2008GENERAL BLOG
We're heading off to Jamies Italian in Oxford on Friday night.
I wonder if I'll be able to resist the anti-pasti plank. I've had it every time I've been so far.

low carb pasta replacements
Thu 30 Oct 2008GENERAL BLOG
One way I replace pasta in my recipes is to
slice very finely some cabbage, red cabbage works really well, you can then add your bolognaise sauce on top.
The other option I use is to slice finely a courgette into long thin strips lengthwise and then turn the courgette 90 degrees and slice again so you end up with long thin strips that even look like pasta.
I then cook them for a couple of minutes some people have them raw, I'm not a fan of raw courgette.

cardinal rule for eating and weightloss
Mon 20 Oct 2008GENERAL BLOG
One of the main rules when it comes to eating and losing weight or fat is to eat more often.
Eating 4 or 5 smaller meals a day is much more efficient as a weight management process than eating 2 or 3 big meals in a day.
When we overeat by having a large meal, the food that is not required to replenish our energy stores that we have depleted gets converted to fat, so by having smaller meals/portions you reduce the likelihood of making your body convert the excess food into fat.
the great thing is that you can eat more delicious food more often!
