I am a Teddy Bear artist and also a collector of Teddy Bears and other critters. I love baking and cooking.
I was lucky to have two grannies who both loved baking and cooking. Both grannies had those old black Dover stoves in the kitchen.
I have memories of golden brown ginger biscuits, rusks and vanilla biscuits...

The birthday cake for my son's 7th birthday. It is a vanilla cake covered with sugar dough.
Duck and Cherry pie

I served the duck and cherry pie with jasmine rice. I added 2 pieces of orange skin to the rice while it was boiling.
My husband says this was one of the best meals I ever cooked. I love the taste of duck and cherries.
Outside fireplace & barbecue

We changed our old barbecue into a new fireplace & barbecue in one. We used it last night for the first time. It is great to have a barbecue and afterwards to just relax at the warn fire.

Healthy raisin & nut rusks

I was looking for a healthy rusk recipe with limited success. Sunday morning I decided to use my imagination and added the things I enjoy to create my own rusks. It came out wonderful and I will have to make more.

Chicken Curry with yellow rice

I made this chicken curry with coconut cream as coconut milk was not available. I serve it with yellow raisin rice,fruit chutney and fresh banana.
