About
I am the Home Economics teacher at Dagfa School in Beeston, Nottingham.
Last year we were the top school for passing on recipes and we would like to continue and try again for the top place. Unlike last year when we had a long chain of people, this year I will post all the recipes and names of pupils who have taken part in PASS IT ON.
Hope you enjoy this blog.
If you are a student, then please make sure you PASS IT ON and then leave a comment on the blog to say that you have PASSED IT ON.
Have fun.

Hey There Cake in a Mug
Sun 14 Mar 2010GENERAL BLOG
Wow have we been busy recently. We had our school open morning which went very well an we made iced cherry cakes - lots of them. Our visitors tried their hand at icing cakes and took away the smaple to eat, along with a recipe and a link to this website.
Whilst having my morning coffee I came across an article in the newspaper to make a cake in a mug - 3 minutes in the microwave. I was so excited that every class that came that day had to watch me make a cake in a mug. It is easy to make and tastes just wonderful. However it does not keep well and after about 15 minutes will go hard - BUT HEY a cake in 3 minutes and who wants to leave it in the mug - just eat and enjoy.
Recipe
Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl before putting into a mug
4 tabsp. SR flour
4 tabsp. caster sugar
3 tabsp. sunflower oil
3 tabsp milk
1 egg
handful of choc chips
1tabsp cocoa
Cook 3 mins in microwave
Can turn out onto a plate or just eat straight from the mug with a coffee.
Enjoy - we did
