Hi, my name is Vera.
I live in St.-Petersburg, Russia, where I work in travel industry.
I'm married, my husband supports me a lot in my culinary experiments.
I love cooking almost since childhood. I'm lucky to have a wonderful family where everybody cooks pretty well. We love family dinners and I'm always trying to cook something new for my family and friends.
I like travelling and every time I try to bring some new recipes from a trip. I'm in love with Mediterranian cuisine - Spanish, Italian, Greek, Turkish...
In food I like simplisity of recipes and clear taste.
I always try to cook healthy food.
Jamie, his cuisine, his lifestyle is a real neverending sourse of inspiration for me.

Make your own organic yoghurt!

I've bought a yoghurt-maker!
My arguments for it were:
- I like natural yoghurt without sugar or fruit in it
- I eat it every day
- I bake with yoghurt
- I like low-fat yoghurts
I'm sure in many countries natural yoghurt is easy to find. But not in Russia. The variety is poor and yoghurts are usually with sugar and fruit syrop, with preservatives, gelatine, starch ets.
So, what are the results?
I like my new kitchen gadget! 
It's really easy, I use just cold sterilised milk and natural yoghurt (activia danone) as a starter. Yoghurt is ready in 8 hours. With really nice, thick texture and true natural yoghurt taste. Later it's possible to use your own yoghurt as starter.
I know it's possible to make your own yoghurt without yoghurt-maker, but I wouldn't do it every day, for it's not that easy.
I think making your own yoghurt is much in Jamie's philosophy

With ham, shampignons, cherry tomatoes and fresh basil...and, of course some parmigano and oregano!
I've always thought it's impossible to make a perfect pizza at home...now I think different!
I used a special pizza tray with holes. It took about 15 min. to bake it.

In Russia we celebrate Christmas today!
Make the dough from all the ingredients, leave it in fridge for 30 min, make biscuits 0,5 sm thick.
Bake 15 min 180C
Decorate chilled biscuites with icing
