About
I am not a trained chef and I have never been to a culinary arts school. But...I do love making food and eating it and one day I would love to wear a sweet chef 's hat (does it come in orange?). I live in Virginia with my beautiful wife, Ashley, our son Myles, and our two cats Millie and Gato. My dream job is to travel the world, eating food, and just hanging out with people along the way. If anyone knows how I may be able to do this, please...let me know :) Until then, I hang out in the kitchen, trying not to catch my self on fire, or get outside with my wife to play at the beach. As the Garden Grows Part 2

Mon 13 Jul 2009
GARDEN BLOG

My garden has exploded and I am having a blast just messing around in it. I have three different types of tomotoes, tons of different herbs, chillies, and two cucumbers climbing up an old baby crib side I found in the dumpster. Herbs grown from your own hands always seem to taste so much better in food smile

Same pizza as before but this time I added some bacon and an egg. A baked egg was an interesting taste, but I enjoyed it none the less.

Title says it all. I made some more homade pizza dough. It was very savory but I may have used a bit too much garlic this time around wink

Dinner Saturday Night

GENERAL BLOG

So I went out and found a cheap beef shoulder roast and smothered it with some herbs in my garden (Oregano, Thyme, and Rosemary). Then I cooked a side of roasted potatoes in balsalmic vinegar, S/P, and parsley. What you cannot see in the picture is the White white vinegar and mint flavored peas we had as another side. It turned out pretty well if I say so myself. I would prefer to have the center a bit more red though.

This was one of the first tomatoes of the vine in my garden. I thought it had a nice shape to it smile
