Preparation and ingredient-adding time: 20 minutes
Cooking time 30 mins to an hour (up to you)
Serves 4 (or if there's only 2 of you - freeze half)
-Chop the onions and brown in a pan with some olive oil, the crushed garlic cloves and lots of black pepper
-Add the Mince, and cook again until the Mince has browned
-Add the two tins of tomatoes and add water to the cans to get all the juice out
-Add the tomato puree, oxo cubes, worcester sauce, herbs and red wine (if used)
-STIR UP WELL!
-Add the chopped mushrooms
- Add salt and pepper to taste
-Leave to to simmer on a low heat, stirring at intervals, until the liquid has reduced.
The longer you cook the sauce, the better it tastes, but you want to do it for at least 30-40 minutes. I normaly cook for up to an hour if I've used Red Wine as there is more liquid to get rid of!!! You can always drain it though if you want a thicker sauce.
About 20-30 minutes into the simmering, boil a pan of water, cook the spaghetti, and enjoy your dish with some grated parmesan on top. Gorgeous
