GENERAL BLOG

Hello fellow bloggers,

I'm new at this, and my first langage is french (like the majority of us quebecers from Canada) so I ask you to be kind with me smile and please do not count my grammar mistakes!

I'm Isabelle, a newly diplomed nurse. I made a rationnal choice a few years back, and that choice was to start from scratch and leave professionnal cooking to study in nursing (after a bachelor degree in litterature!). I do not regret my decision, but let me tell you that my boyfriend and I pass most of our time in the kitchen! (he is also a ex-cook, now an engeneer).

I'm relaxing now, I start my new job as a post-partum (maternity) nurse next monday, so I'm on my bike and planting herbs for the summer to come. Spring is here in Montreal, and the local asparagus, radishes ans lettuces just arrived.

What I'll try to do, with this blog, is to share the experience that my boyfriend and I have, regarding cooking, and apply it to everyday life. Recipes, technique shortcuts, essencial ingredients, etc.Maybe from time to time, a documentary on a local produce or restaurant.

To keep up to date with this passion we all share, I give some of my time to a restaurant called Robin des bois (means Robin Hood), on St-Laurent street (the main street), where the profits are 100% redistributed to local charities. They just moved to a bigger place, as the public responce was just extraordinary! This is well planned charity work!

Sing out for now!
Aurevoir,
Isabelle de montréal
