I hope you enjoy the recipes I put on here. Many are gathered from different nations I have traveled to. Christmas Bird Nests Your Children Can Make

Wed 19 Dec 2007
GENERAL BLOG

First allow me to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

This is something so easy your children can have fun making them while you supervise.

Ingredients:
Pretzel Sticks
1 Bag Chocolate Morsels (Melted)
Chopped Nuts (Pecans, Walnuts, Peanuts, or your favourite)
Confectioner's Sugar or Coloured Sugar Sprinkles

You will need:
Double Boiler for melting Chocolate or a Heat resistant bowl over a pot of hot water.
2 Large Wooden Spoons.
Cookie Sheet
Coloured Plastic Wrap

Place the Pretzel Sticks in a large bowl and pour the melted Chocolate over them. Now gently mix them until the Pretzels are completely coated trying not to break them.

Now once the Chocolate is cool enough to touch take handfuls of the Chocolate covered Pretzels and form into the shape of golf ball sized bird nests and place on a cookie sheet.

Sprinkle the Chopped Nuts over them and then dust them with Confectioner's Sugar or Coloured Sugar Sprinkles.

Allow them to cool in the refrigerator for about an hour until the Chocolate is completely hardened.

These make wonderful gifts if packed loosely in a tin. You can also use these as edible Christmas Tree Ornaments. Just wrap them individually in different coloured plastic wrap and hang them on the Christmas Tree.

I hope this brings hours of happiness and warms memories of this Chritmas Season.

May you all have a Blessed and prosperous New Year.

Merry Christmas,

Mac
