Maybe this doesnīt smell like success, but it was! 
My kids are very fuzzy eaters. They eat everything when we are at large family dinners for example where many people sit around the table, talk, eat, and enjoy a great time. But at home... 
Unfortunately itīs more like me running round the table trying to prevent that everything is covered with food after my 2 years olds have finished their meal. This is the main reason for them being so picky, I guess... But slowly itīs getting better. Yesterday they had pasta with pumpkin sauce and tonite I made mashed potatoes and kohlrabi with bechamel sauce. Hey, they did not complain, but eating properly and behaved well. YAY.
Waffles

Maddi posted a lovely pic of her apple waffles the other day. This made me regret not possessing a waffle iron. Until then I refused to buy one, because I thought, it was just another rarely used gadget taking up room in my cupboard. 
But thanks to maddiīs post, the following came to mind: My mother-in-law is collecting nearly every kitchen tool she can get hold of. 
I asked and I hit the bullīs eye! She gave it to me without further negotiations!
This morning I made waffles of yeast dough for us. They are not too sweet and ideal for breakfast... 
Alsacian Flammkueche CB-style...

I made Flammkueche - a speciality from the French Alsace - tonight with a little greek twist. Using spinach deglazed with Ouzo, feta cheese, and red hot chili peppers on top.
It was yummy! If anyone is interested in the recipe, I would love to share it!

... for one year now and I wonīt give it up.
This little plant is a curry tree, which I bought at an internet shop, because I cannot get hold of curry leaves to cook with. When it arrived at home it was in a poor condition (and literally cried for help). But as you (maybe) know, I am far away from a plant whisperer...
So we both (murraya and me) do our best to save its little life. A few days ago it has developed a side shoot - maybe this is a sign of new hope? I will keep you updated!

Today I made muffins with wholemeal corn flour, butter milk, rolled oats, pumpkin purree and tangerines. Still have tons of pumpkins to use up and hey, I am getting better at experimenting.
