Making gumbo

Just piggybacking off of Jamie's latest topic about how we can encourage family cohesion around dinnertime...Our son is a notoriously picky eater, so it's really encouraging to us that he's decided to take a bit of a interest in cooking.  He actually (with a lot of parental oversight), cut up the peppers, onions and garlic that needed to go into our gumbo recipe. The comment when it all went in and started to simmer..."Have a taste Mom!"
