About
I love cooking! It all started when I bought my first Italian cookbook from Glasgow two years ago... I've been cooking simple things from the age of 9, a few years ago I discovered the magic of trying new things and being creative in the kitchen...so far I've been really successful and I hope to learn new things here and share my tips...:)

GENERAL BLOG

About 9 months ago my mom asked me and my boyfriend (Jörgen) out to dinner. We like to test new places, but it was our second time in an Indian restaurant (called Elephant, in Tallinn's old town, Vene St. 5 - in case you should come to Tallinn any time soon). We had snack thali, coconut salmon, lamb curry, basmati rice and Indian yogurt bread naan. Then started my long term relationship with Indian food! smile But it was only a week ago when I learned to bake naan and make chicken curry.
I don't have much time at the moment so I'll tell you a story of my first naan, the chicken story comes some other time... wink

Ingredients:
white flour (200 g), sugar (2 tsp), salt (1 tsp), olive oil (or coconut oil, about 100 ml), warm water (200 ml), yogurt (200 ml), 1 egg, dry yeast (15 g)

Preparing:
First mix together sugar, yeast and water. Then add salt, olive oil, an egg and then add the flour! The result should be a soft dough. Place it some place warm (not over 30 degrees) and let it stay there for an hour. Then make 5-6 small soft balls out of the proofed dough, and place them on a griddle covered with buttered grease-proof paper. Make "pancakes" out of them using your fingers and add sesame seeds. Then put the griddle into a preheated oven (250 degrees C) and let them be there about 7 minutes. Then add cheese or garlic paste (as you wish) and put them back to the oven until the cheese has melted. And it's done! Be prepared for a delicious piece of bread!

Wish you all the best!
Eva
