About
I am a web designer by trade - I create websites by day and cook by night! Food is one of my true passions - In another life I would have been a chef but for this one I am satisfied to cook dishes from all 4 corners of the earth to share with family and friends. Most recently I have become interested in healthy recipes, and have started a little website. As I get older I am watching my weight and other factors a little more closely :)

Ok - I just wanted to add another picture to my last post so this is sort of two posts make one smile (It would be very cool to be able to put more than one image in a post!)

This pic is the bench just below the kitchen window in my last post - you can see I'm chopping pumpkin, in the background I have a packet of split peas, an onion, a kumara (sweet potato) and some carrots - I put all this into a pot with a couple of litres of water and a ham bone that had quite a bit of meat left on the shank - simmered gently for a couple of hours. Simple but tasty.

It's also been a bit nippy here - supposedly spring in NZ but we've had some quite winterly weather and cold winds so soup has been good.

Hello All,
I haven't got anything really delicious to post for you yet but I thought you might like to see the view from my kitchen window in Auckland, New Zealand. That's the garden I look out on while I'm cooking smile And the beach is about 5 mins walk away.
I wanted to post a picture of the soup I was making but I think I can only attach one picture? Might have to do another post.

I just wanted to say a big hello to everyone. Just discovered Jamie's site and have signed up so am new here..

I look forward to sharing some recipes shortly but in the meantime just wanted to say Jamie you are a top fellow - Not only can you cook (a trait inherent in every great man ;-) but your heart really is in the right place. You are doing so many great things for the world and getting behind such worthy causes. I recently caught your "foul dinners" and am truly humbled by what you have chosen to achieve with your fame and success.

Keep up the brilliant work Jamie & God Bless.

Frank
