lovely lemon curdy pud

A friend of mine came over for dinner. I forgot to take a picture of the main course (pasta with shrimp & coconut sauce *drool*), but this was our dessert: Jamie's lemon curdy pud.
I have already made this dessert several times, but the last time has been more than a year ago (if not two).....So it was definitely time for giving it a go again! It was dead easy and delicious!!! (Anyway, I didn't expect this recipe to fail. It has always been working.)
some swans for the birthday

my mom also made these small swans for my aunt's birthday. she made a choux pastry, put the dough in a piping bag, then piped small round pieces of dough (for the bodies) and the same number of s-shaped sausages (for the necks) on a baking tray, baked them, let them cool, cut the balls in halves, and the upper half in two pieces. then she filled the intact half with whipped cream, stuck one of the s-shaped things into each of the "swans' bodies" and placed the remaining pieces (the upper parts, which were cut into two halves) on top of the swans - like wings. is it possible to follow the instruction? i don't think so....but you can see the picture and with some imagination it will not be a problem for any of you chefs and bakers to make your own swans. i'm sure!
unfortunately i couldn't take part in the birthday party...so my mom shared the photos with me.
my aunt's 70th birthday!

my mom made this cake for my aunt's 70th birthday. it's a sponge cake with a cream and hazelnut filling. the cake is covered with marzipan, which has been "painted" with melted chocolate. the flowers and leaves are made of marzipan using a special mould.

...with a shot of amaretto (or two 
). it's very rich, juicy - and delicious. if i didn't know that eating half of it at once is absolutely not healthy, i'd dispatch it. 
maybe i should consider putting the recipe on foodwise?

yesterday's lunch: spaghetti with a kind of bolognese sauce and mushrooms. quick and easy - that's they way i love cooking.
