I'm going to start pitching cuisines against each other in a haphazard yet, I hope, thought provoking way. The first face off is:
Indian vs Mexican cusine.
Indian
an ancient and varied cuisine from an ancient and varied country.
This chicken thariwala (with sauce) recipe is a real delicious winter warmer. Homely and spicy. Mmmm.

Mexican
Well, we all love burritos but there is plenty more to Mexican food, some of it going back a very, very long time. Here's a more modern take on the burrito:

Any opinions?
People actually cook and eat rattlesnakes and... what's more, they are apparently quite tasty. This is definitely the next recipe that I'm going to try...

Has anyone out there eaten rattlesnake? Can you buy it in the shops in the US or UK, or do you just have to go out there and catch it?![]()

0 COMMENTSIn stark contrast to my last post, here's something a little more sophisticated. If anyone watched a certain celebrity chef's cookalong programme on friday this is a similar dish.
I made this over the weekend and it turned out really well. It's perfect for this time of the year because it's really fresh but still warming.
Did anyone attempt the cookalong? I'd like to know what you think of it compared to this recipe:

... what a burger. This one's a real killer. There's definitely nothing fancy (or healthy about this one)!
