This is my first year of growing fruit and vegetables in pots and troughs in my crowded back yard in Wigan. I dream of a real garden and a greenhouse, and I hope it won't be long before I get one. So far, I have been quite successful with raspberries and chilli's, but my strawberries have been eaten by a bug and my climbing beans are only new.....
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
Sweet chilli and ginger jelly, Festive Feta, Chilli-pepper chutney and Autumn Apple and Pear Chutney.
I'm quite proud!
Autumn Peas
My autumn peas have just started to come up in the greenhouse. My broad beans have not done anything though.. I wonder if they perhaps take longer than peas...?
I am almost wishing Christmas away, as I can't wait to plant the various different types of tomatoes I am going to try this year.... woooo roll on January!

Daddio is building me three of these... woo hoo....
I can grow so much stuff in them!
I half wish I could just go to sleep and wake up in April when I can go and plant loads of stuff! The waiting is killing me!
I have planted some autumn peas and broad beans in the greenhouse, and I think I'll get the cauliflower done this weekend.
My tomato packets say 'sow under glass in January', but I am tempted to start some off early on a windowledge and see what happens to them..... ooo very daring hahaha
Poor old Dad
Dad is part way through building me three raised beds at the bottom of my Great Aunts garden, bless him! We were very excited about some manure this morning, which is a first for me!
