GENERAL BLOG

I dry rubbed the pork with paprika, onion, and garlic powders dried thyme, sage and black pepper.
And put it in the fridge for several hours. Then slow roasted it in the oven covered with some water.
Turned out great!....even though I totally spaced on adding salt roll

Low, Almost No Added Salt

Fri 19 Mar 2010
GENERAL BLOG

With the talk of salt I tried to reduce the amount of salt in this dish.
Chicken with roasted red bell pepper sauce served with julienne carrot and zucchini on brown rice.

The only salt I added was on one side of the chicken and we're talking a pinch of salt.
No added salt on the rice or veg. My wife said it could use a little salt but I thought it was tasty as is.

Shredded Pork tacos

Wed 17 Mar 2010
GENERAL BLOG

Slow cooked some pork with onion, garlic, celery, bell pepper, red chili pepper, chili powder, fresh herds, SS&P then shredded it. Then looked for the tortillas and found they were all gone! So made some tacos instead. Topped with cheddar cheese, arugula and salsa.
