GENERAL BLOG
This amazing little treat is what was hiding behind the grass from my previous post.
This dish has so many levels of yummy it's unbelievable!
GENERAL BLOG
I made some brownies (on left) from this recipe http://www.latimes.com/features/food/la … 3880.story same as recipe but my pan was like an inch shorter in one direction so they came out a little thicker. Very yummy, even yummier if served just after cooling.
I also made this carrot cake (front and center) http://www.latimes.com/features/food/la … 4422.story I didn't do the frosting with all that butter and sugar though.
I whipped a half cup of powdered sugar with one package of regular Philly cream cheese then whipped some whipping cream and folded that into the mix and frosted. Also, I cooked the two separate cake levels but only used one. I cut that one in half and made it a layer cake that way. Oh, I also only used half the cinnamon.
The real star in this pic is hiding behind the grass! Next post will visit that.
