About
I am a Filipino artist who was born and raised in Manila. Currently based in Vietnam as the Head of Creative Group in a local Ad agency. I am a lover of life and a lover of Australia. I am making the most out of what I have now by doing and learning the things I love. I am into painting, physical activities like running and kick boxing, whistling the harmonica, traveling, beach bumming, photography and of course cooking almost everyday! If I have to claim one thing in my life and that is, I am Jamie Oliver's number one fan in the Philippines & Vietnam. In that claim I am 100% sure. I admire Jamie Oliver so much that's why whatever he does, I try to do it in my own little way. I know I am going to meet him one day :-)

Joanie's Giant Meat Balls

Fri 13 Nov 2009
GENERAL BLOG

This is my all time favorite pasta sauce to make. I enjoy doing the big meatballs with my egg yolk, milk, herb & spices. I used plenty of fresh tomatoes so that the sauce will really taste good and will be very thick. Everyone loves this pasta. They look for it from time to time because the meatballs are very juicy and flavorful.

The secret here is the ground Australian beef I used. Other local beefs are okay but nothing beats my Australian beef.

Cranberry Jelly with Caramel Pudding

Fri 06 Nov 2009
GENERAL BLOG

Hi Mates! Whadaya doin' this arvo?

Maybe you should try something different. Something to tease your partner. Something that they will crave from now on. My suggestion is so sinful and seductive. A devilicious dessert that will surely brings out the devil roar in your partner or the person you will have this one tasted. I sent this recipe on the Valentine's video I did last year for Jamie Oliver's contest. And the video won. Last Halloween I had my chance to repeat this sinful recipe. It's so hard to find some ingredients here in Saigon but I was able to do some alternatives. This will surely delight you and will satisfy your craving. So why don't you bring out your apron and start whipping this amazing dessert!

This is the link of the recipe in FOOD WISE

Mon 12 Oct 2009
GENERAL BLOG

This is the salad I served during my first Artist Chef here in Saigon. The couple who ate it loved it. This is so easy to prepare, the mix of fruits with celery and all other elements made this pasta very interesting. Even people in Manila always asked me the recipe for this pasta, I'm sure people here in Jamie's site will love it too. I will post the recipe soonish.

Have a fruitty day everyone!

CARROT YEMA BALLS

Tue 15 Sep 2009
GENERAL BLOG

Yema balls is one of my favorite desserts to do. I had my craving a week ago of doing this traditional Filipino dessert. My secret for my Yema Balls is adding mashed potato to make it more beefy. One day I headed to the supermarket and bought the ingredients for my Yema balls. I got a bit disappointed not to find some potatoes. So to substitute, I bought carrots instead. I'm afraid it won't result as good as the potato version but surprisingly it did! This new concoction is very sinful but very healthy also on the other hand. My Chinese, Thai & Vietnamese friends tasted it. They find it too sweet but very yummy. I myself was also surprised that I can eat 4 balls in one eating. Quite a lot. So allow me to share you this simple recipe I concocted.

Hope you like my simple recipe smile
