I am not a trained chef and I have never been to a culinary arts school. But...I do love making food and eating it and one day I would love to wear a sweet chef 's hat (does it come in orange?). I live in Virginia with my beautiful wife, Ashley, our son Myles, and our two cats Millie and Gato.
My dream job is to travel the world, eating food, and just hanging out with people along the way. If anyone knows how I may be able to do this, please...let me know :)
Until then, I hang out in the kitchen, trying not to catch my self on fire, or get outside with my wife to play at the beach.

Sushi Roll Night

Last night all my family got together for a fun learning experience on how to make sushi rolls. My brother-in-law had previoulsy learned by watching youtube and we all decided to try it out. It was a ton of fun and I highly recommend it. This is picture of my first roll I made. I thought it turned out somewhat decent....and it tasted great!

My Early Indoor Herb Garden

So my mother painted these little pots for me for christmas and I was eager to put them use. So I have used some older herb seeds and tried to get some things started. I have the basics so far, basil, parsley, and cilantro.I will post a closer look here shortly as some.

Salad with Egg Omelet Strips

This was a bit of an experience. I made a thin omelet and cut it into strips and threw it in a salad with baby lettuces, onions, green peppers, and oil/balsamic. It didn't turn out too bad...but not my favorite though
