Well I guess I might get started and do some checks time to time.. Well as most of you probably know I have just moved into my own place a couple of months ago.. Only problem is that it's an apartment and I am use to having a backyard or garden bed.. So I have now gone back to using pots.. At present the only produce I am growing is Herbs.. Everyone loves Herbs, even Bob..
Last night I made a really nice Herb Butter.. So I thought I would share the recipe with you all..
Madcrow's Herb Butter
1/2 cup of soft butter
4 tsp fresh chopped herb ( A great herb combination, which I used, is 2 tsp marjoram, 2 tsp thyme, 2 tsp parsley )
1 tsp lemon peel, finely shredded
1 tsp orange peel, finely shredded
Place butter and other ingredients into a bowl.. Mix well and cover with plastic wrap.. Throw into fridge for several hours before using.. Form into a log about 1 inch diameter.. Wrap in wax paper ( Baking sheet ).. This makes a 5 inch log.. Use on crackers, on small pieces of bread, pasta, steamed vegetables and everyones favorite corn on the cob.. Yummy! You can even freeze the herb butter for several months..
And there you have it.. Well what are you waiting for..
