
This is another rare plant in our garden, the Miltomato loco which is also a Solanum plant. The berries are edible when they have turned from green to black and they taste in some way fruity and spicy, very interesting. The dried berries are exceprionally to be served with bourbon vanilla ice cream... enjoy!

When I saw the Miltomato loco's photo I thought that the berries were tiny and rounded eggplants
ops: And as I can read, you wrote that its name is Miltomate, which in spanish could mean 'loads of thousand of tomatoes', but. . .they're fruity and spicy!!![]()

Eggplants also belong to Solanaceae. Yes, it's funny to say fruity and spicy, but that's how I would describe their taste. And yes, they come from South America. But that's not all as you will see in one of my next postings...
