This gorgeous bombolone is a sugar donut filled with custard. Usually eaten for breakfast in Italy if you are not having a cornetti.

I love having perfect capuccino or a fresh squeezed blood orange juice and one of these donuts or a cornetti when in Rome. I couldn't resist! Nice photo!
