Coffee Roasting

by Cindy

This is the latest batch of coffee I roasted a few days ago.

For anybody Interested in Roasting Coffee, A couple of years ago I wrote a guide to Roasting using a popcorn popper. It can be found here, but be aware it is written for Australian Roasters, Some of the brands of popper may be unavailable overseas.

Other sites I would recommend are SweetMarias http://www.sweetmarias.com/, and the Coffee project http://www.coffeeproject.com/beans.html

The lovely lossy beans in this photo remind me of when I lived in Brghton , around 25 years ago  and I would walk home from work after a night shift and smell freshly roasting coffee that was being roasted in a local shop.
They would roast smal batches throughout the day so that what ever you bought was always very fresh.
