I read the New York Times Food issue last month and would like to get in touch with Jamie Oliver if he happens to pass by New York State. I work actively as a parent to promote "good healthy food and physical habits" in the local school. We created a garden that the kids designed (the 200 of them) and invited Chef Noah Sheetz from the Executive Mansion in Albany to do a cooking demonstration to the kids with the garden vegetables.( We also got our seeds from LOCAL heirloom and teach the kids to harvest them.) It was a success, kids eate all their veggies, and loved them. Nonetheless junk is still served at lunch! I am part of the health and wellness committee, but it is so slow...
