winter garden

It's been a while since I have posted about our garden, although a lot has been happening.
OG built a large raised garden out of old railway sleepers, lined it and filled it with compost. He then put in an irrigation system of drippers to save water.

Last summer we had rogue cherry tomatoes and normal tomatoes growing in it, along with perrinial spinach and mizuna.

This winter we have planted out some different coloured heritage carrots and beets. As it has been a very cold and wet winter (at last) they are coming along slowly, but hopefully we shall be picking and eating soon enough.
