First time I've tried these and they were very popular...
pre-warm oven to 180C
Beat an egg (to brush on pastry).
Thinly slice washed apples. I left the skin on.
Make up a cusard or vanilla sauce mix...I sweetened mine wish real vanilla sugar.
Take a sheet of ready made puff pastry and divide into equal squares (I got 8 from one sheet).
Add a spoon of custard to each square and 3 or 4 slices of apple. Top with another spoon of custard.
Fold the pastry to make a little envelope, brush with egg, sprinkle with brown sugar.
This took about 10 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to bake.
