I am unable to find creme fraiche in my supermarket, can i use sour creme instead?

I found it hard to find too. What country are you in ? Jamie uses it a lot.
In Australia I found it in the deli section at Woolworths and it is made by wattle valley.
I was looking at the sour creams and yogurt section till a really helpful checkout lady showed me where to look.
