There’s nothing like a lazy Sunday morning watching cooking programmes. It really works up an appetite for a lovely roast.

But this Easter Sunday you might be inspired to cook something a bit different, because our very own Food Tube star and baking goddess Cupcake Jemma is making a guest appearance on Channel 4′s Sunday Brunch.

She’ll be whisking up some cracking cupcakes on the show and showing you how to decorate them specially for Easter. We never know quite what Jemma has up her sleeve – she keeps her cakes close to her chest – but if you tune in to Channel 4 at 10.30am on Sunday we promise you’ll be in for an Easter treat; no yolk (sorry).

We’re still only just getting over the excitement of our Sammie nom-nomination, but now we have not one, not two, but three Webby nominations too!

The Webbys celebrate all that’s great and good about the Internet, from videos and gifs to stories and tweets. But the really great thing about the Webbys is that the winners are voted-for by you. That means we’re in your hands – so we need all you lovely people to vote for us!

Our first nomination is for our beautiful recipe app, which sends delicious Jamie recipes straight to your phone or tablet every month. We’ve got hundreds of videos and recipes, covering everything from quick weekday meals to classic comfort food. We love this app, and considering we have had over 10 million downloads, we guess you do to. The brave among you may have already had one, but barbecue season is only a few weeks away! If you’re a lover of the outdoors and want to take your al fresco cooking to the next level, we have some big news for you.

A few years ago Jamie teamed up with Wood Fired Ovens, which builds Italian wood-fired ovens using traditional methods and refactory clay. Wood-fired ovens are used throughout Italy to bake perfect pizzas, but they’re also amazing for roasting meat and almost better for breads.

This month they have launched a new version of their popular dome60. The Leggero oven is handmade in Italy and completely watertight, so it can be kept outside in all weather. It can do everything a barbecue does and more, and still gives you the incredible flavours that cooking over flames does.

Jamie says: “The smokiness from the wood and charcoal gives every type of food incredible flavour and personality. Once you get a feel for cooking this way you’ll absolutely love it.”

On top of that, the dome60 Leggero is 40kg lighter than the dome60 and comes ready to fire up, save for assembling the stand, so you’ll be banging out crisp pizzas, gorgeous roast meat and one-pot wonders in no time. Or, if you need a morning pick-me-up, this hero of a breakfast.

If you’re anything like us, lunch is the highlight of any workday. That’s why Jamie teamed up with Boots a year ago to bring exciting sandwiches and salads to the high street, so everyone can look forward to lunch.

It seems like the plan is working; last week Jamie’s gorgeous Roasted veggie and ricotta wrap was nominated for a Sammies Award (the Oscars of the sandwich world, run by the British Sandwich Association!).

Conveniently, the nomination comes just as we launch the spring range in store. We’ve taken inspiration from all over the world for this new selection, but also from the local stalls on food markets all over the UK. We’ve got our version of the ever-popular Pulled pork & slaw roll, a banh mi-style Vietnamese chicken sub, a deli roll with a hole and a sweet and spicy veggie Bombay flatbread – all available at selected Boots stores. Imagine having one of those to look forward to all morning – torture! And if, by some miracle, neither of those got your tummy rumbling, we’ve got even more delicious sarnies launching in May and, of course, the entire range already in store.

Usually you’ll find Gennaro cooking in the Jamie’s Italian kitchens, where he trains the young chefs and helps design delicious daily specials. For one night only, however, he’ll be bringing his unmistakable Italian charm and verve to Fifteen Cornwall.

Together with head chef Andy Appleton, Gennaro has come up with an incredible dinner, the highlights being an octopus Carpaccio with blood orange and, for dessert, an Amedei chocolate tasting platter.

Prices are just £70 per person, and for an extra £45 you’ll get a beautiful matched wine with every course. It’s a night you’ll never forget and is all in aid of giving young unemployed people a second chance at life and a shot at a career in cooking.

Today we go live with Jamie’s second exciting YouTube channel, which is all about delectable drinks, from cocktails and spirits to wine and beer. As the sister channel of Food Tube, Drinks Tube will be everything to drink that Food Tube has been to fresh, fun home-cooking. It’s going to be full of deliciously drinkable recipes and tips, as well giving brilliant new talent a platform.

We’ve got some amazing contributors joining us, from mixologists Simone Caporale and Giuseppe Gallo, to our resident beer bloggers, the Craft Beer boys – as well as all the usual suspects such as Jamie and Gennaro. It’s kicking off with some amazing videos too, including Jamie’s own margarita, buying wine on a budget and an introduction to beer styles.

Drinks Tube comes of the back of the amazing success we’ve had with Food Tube, which was launched in January 2013 with big bang… and a very nervous Jamie hosting his first live online event.

Back then it was an experiment brought to life by Jamie’s insistence, but a brilliant team and hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of you have made it the amazing community it is today. At the time of posting this story we were just creeping up on 750,000 subscribers, with millions of views on videos ranging from a sandwich-making contest with Kevin Bacon to Jamie’s mate Pete’s perfect steak.
