- I like to set up different food areas around my house, so I'll have the drinks in one space, the savouries in another and the sweet treats somewhere else. This keeps things interesting and gets your guests moving about and mingling – it's a great ice-breaker!
- Small bites and snacks are the way to go when it comes to party food. Anything you can make in advance, like the smoked salmon rolls and brownies here, is a complete bonus. Food like this means you get to enjoy the party too!
- Make sure you've got plenty of booze! Try having the ingredients for a few different cocktails arranged on tables so your guests can mix their own. Encourage everyone to help themselves and serve each other and you'll soon get the party going.
- The Italian Stallion, Gennaro, has done a great video on how to prepare a gorgeous antipasti platter. It makes a great centrepiece and the beauty of it is that everyone can pick their favourite bits. There's sure to be something for everyone!
