tips and tricks

  • Keep things simple wherever you can. Christmas for me is about spending time with the people you love, and great food just adds to that. That's why these Recipease recipes are perfect. They'll get you out of trouble and are easy to knock together.
  • Save yourself a bit of cash by making some presents this year. A homemade gift will go down a storm and really show you care. There are loads of things you can make and package up, from fudge and biscuits to sauces and chutneys. Your family and friends will love it.
  • If I think I'm likely to have people stopping by, I'll get a batch of mulled wine or cider slowly simmering away and a big stack of mince pies ready to go. Little touches like this make Christmas that extra bit special.
  • I make popcorn every year with all sorts of different flavours as it's perfect for sharing. Check out this video of me from back in the day for one of my favourite flavour combos.
