antipasti, oils and vinegars
Jamie says “For me, these products are some of the real tastes of Italy. Each product
has its own flavour that makes it an experience in its own right – you don’t have to be a top chef to get results here – just appreciate quality flavours.”
The range includes:
Sun-dried tomatoes Jamie loves them tossed in a salad with rocket and shaved Parmesan cheese or try them simmered in a tomato pasta sauce to make it extra rich and tasty.
Peppers are amazing sliced and used in a salad or as a pizza toping or try them as a starter with some mozzarella cheese
Artichokes are fantastic served with Parma ham or try them stirred into a risotto with some Parmesan cheese
Green Olives are great sprinkled over a lovely salad with plenty of feta cheese
Black Olives are great on a summer salad with asparagus and mint
Olive oil is just that: oil of olives. Depending on where the olives are from it can be golden or green in colour and taste fruity of spicy. Our Extra Virgin Olive oil is the purest there is and has a great peppery taste being high in poly-unsaturated oil and very good for you. It’s great drizzled over cooked food or used as a dip for warm crusty bread – lovely!
Everyday cooking olive oil is also great for drizzling & dressing but cooking too! It won’t burn when heated in the pan like other oils and is great for frying or rubbing on meat or fish before grilling to give a lovely mild flavour.
Balsamic Vinegar comes from Modena, in Northern Italy and is made by ageing sticky, sweet grape juice in wooden barrels for a number of years. It has a dark, tangy taste and is the perfect partner for cheeses and salads or for using as a dip with warm, crusty bread.
