Hi guys,
So all is well in the wonderful world of cooking. Lots of food as well as being a dad and trying to be a husband!
It's so busy everyday at the restaurant that I think the students are beginning to get tired now. It's a tough life, but they are doing very well and are moving around on different sections and getting on just fine.
Last night was very exciting. We had some good friends in the restaurant - the producers and dons of the Tuscan wine world who have looked after us over the years. For anyone that knows a thing or two about wine, they produce Selvapiana, Petrolo, Capezzana, Morello and the New Zeland producer from Marlborough Estates. We served them 5 courses ending with a whole baked turbot in salt which was really amazing.
We also had Richard Curtis in with the lovely Emma Freud, along with Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher. Pete Tong also came in with my mate Keith who is a big player from the States.
We're changing the menu today so I'd better pull my finger out. Getting a bit of pressure about coming up with something nice for Valentine's Day so if I have any bright ideas I'll post them up soon.
