gennaro goes foraging
Wed 09 May 2007
Hi guys,The lovely Gennaro Contaldo, my mentor and star of my podcasts, has had a busy few days. First he took some of the Fifteen apprentices out on a foraging trip to discover loads of different food that grows wild. It’s amazing what you can find in the forests and woodland in London. The apprentices learnt where to find and pick wild garlic, fennel, rocket and horseradish. Gennaro then cooked a wonderful wild garlic risotto. Take a look at the photos and let me know of your forgaing adventures in my forum.
Then on Saturday he was on telly beating the record for making an omelette on the BBC's Saturday Kitchen. Is there no end to the great man's talents?
If you want to try some wild garlic pasta or focaccia then try to catch up with The Flour Station at one of the farmer’s markets around London.
lots of love
