it's true!

Tue 17 Jun 2003 @ 23:03 I'm really happy to say I did get an MBE last week, which is Member of the British Empire which is really really cool. It was for services to the catering industry and I'm well chuffed with that.

One of the papers said I broke the code of secrecy by mentioning it here on the website, but if the journalist was clever he would have realised that the date on the website was the date the announcement was made, typical journalist for you. To you lovely people who read the website we are being watched, how scary!!

Anyway it's very nice to get a pat on the back which is cool.

The students are doing very well, they will be leaving in a months time and I've just set them the final task of running the restaurant themselves with no help, so tonight its all going off. They've set up a little venue next to 'Fifteen', Richard Branson's coming, supporters of the charity, potential sponsors and obviously the general public too, so its all down to them, fingers crossed but I think they're going to be great.

I've got a weeks holiday next week, can you believe it, I'm really looking forward to it. I'm going to go away with the Misses but not sure where to yet, somewhere in England I think especially as the weather is so good at the moment.
