Hi Guys,
I’m really chuffed that so many of you are still supporting the
Ministry of Food campaign that kicked off last year. As part of that campaign we made a series of short videos of me demonstrating how to cook some of the recipes from my Ministry of Food book. I’ve just been told that we’ve had over half a million downloads of those videos on iTunes, which is absolutely brilliant because it means loads of you are putting those ‘mini cooking lessons’ to good use. If you want to check them out you can find them on iTunes and also on the Ministry of Food website. Download the recipes and soon you will be learning to cook a number of different dishes, anything from
Sizzling Beef with Black Bean Sauce to
Chicken Chow Mein.
There’s also more good news from the Food Centre in Rotherham where the lovely Lisa and Jane are still doing an amazing job of teaching people how to make delicious food. They’ve been teaching around 25 classes a week and are booked solid until the end of March. As if that weren't enough they're also working with local schools to teach kids and their parents how to cook. I reckon this is a great start to the New Year. Hopefully 2009 will be the year everyone in Britain learns how to cook.
