Hi Guys,
I’ve been blown away by the enthusiasm and interest you lot have shown for my latest project,
Ministry of Food. This month we’ve had over a million hits on the website, which is hugely exciting; especially when I think of the days when we first launched the site. Back then I’d be so chuffed to get 250,000 hits a month.
It’s massively encouraging to me that the site has been so busy because it tells me that there are lots of you out there who are interested and curious about cooking. From the things I’ve been reading it looks like loads of you really want to learn how to cook, which is absolutely fantastic. You’ll find helpful tips and information on the
Ministry of Food site to help get you started, plus recipes which you can download for free. I must give a big shout out to the regular guys on the forums as well – they’ve been providing some great cooking advice and support for all you new cooks out there.
If you’re in the process of setting up your own Food Centre then make sure you register your details on the
Ministry of Food site. Lots of councils have expressed an interest in setting up Food Centres in their cities and I think that’s brilliant news. One day there might be a Food Centre in every town in the UK… how fantastic would that be?!
Even though my Ministry of Food series has come to an end in the UK, I’m hoping that Pass It On will keep growing and growing. If any of you haven’t got around to registering yet then please
get involved and start your own Pass It On Chain. It’s basically just mates teaching mates a few nice recipes, but it has the potential to completely change the state of cooking in Britain for the better.
If you want to hear a bit more about how I feel now that the TV series is over, check out this
interview I did for all of my friends on MySpace.
Big Love,
Jamie O xxx
