Hi Guys,
The night before last, my brilliant mate Mick “the Miner” was at the big launch of Kingston-upon-Hull’s Pass It On initiative. Mick was one of my star pupils from the
Ministry of Food class I taught in Rotherham last year and was at the launch to teach my recipe for quick salmon tikka to a group including the High Sheriff, the Lord Mayor, members of the TA, Navy, RAF, Fire Service, NHS and Police! I heard he even managed to persuade Councillor Elaine Garland, the Lord Mayor of Hull, to eat fish for the first time in her life and what’s more she LOVED it! Nice work mate! More of that and I'll be out of a job.
When I started my
Pass It On campaign last year - I couldn't have dreamed up a better ambassador for Pass It On than Mick. He went from being a complete non-cook to a great teacher and I'm so proud of him.
Big shout out to everyone who took part and supported the event. It means so much to me that that Pass It On continues to grow. Cooking together is great fun not to mention a powerful way to show people just how easy knocking up a quick nutritious meal can be. Best of luck to Hull with their future Pass It Ons.
