Hi Guys,
If someone had told me a few years ago that I'd have my own video game one day – I'd have said they were bonkers. But, technology is a wonderful thing and today, my first video game comes out! It's called
What's Cooking? Jamie Oliver and it's for the Nintendo DS. I think it's always exciting to see new stuff going on with food and cooking so a video game seemed like a great chance to do something a bit different and bring cooking to a whole new audience. Having played it myself, I can tell you it's fun and clever - you'll love it!
I've given the designers a whole book's worth of my recipes so it contains a really good range of different meals, snacks and puddings. They've done an amazing job of turning them into an interactive game where you get ingredients from the fridge, then do stuff like chopping, whizzing, blending and baking. It's a bit creative as well because you can make up your own recipes and store them on your DS to make later or share them with your mates over Wi-Fi. You can even make your own shopping lists from saved recipes which should make shopping a bit easier.
Personally, I'm going to find it really handy at Christmas when I've got the whole family over for lunch – everyone will be getting one and then they'll have no excuse for not helping me out with the cooking!
Hope you enjoy it.
Big Love
