Does anyone have a cream of veg and pancetta soup (beginner proof) recipe?? Any suggestions would be great!!!

Ann - I put loads of celery, carrot & onion, plus some red pepper into the slowcooker with the bone.
After 6 hours I added soaked white beans & green split peas..
Soon I will remove the bone & strip the meat from it to be added back in..

Frizz, That sounds so delicious!!! I just soaked my lima beans (butter beans) for about 6 hours and then added onion, pepper, tad of salt, and the ham bone. It still had lots of ham shavings hanging on. It made such a good soup. I ate every drop. ![]()

Just made a big pot of chicken stock this morning - think I'll make tortilla soup with some of it.
That French onion soup looks great, too, but don't have any beef stock in the freezer. ![]()
