G'day Grub wave long time no see and you, Joy wave

Tonight's my son's last before he heads back to Sydney for uni and work.

So something special: mussels in the "usual" way, hand cut thick chips (baked not deep fried, of course wink ), green salad, bread for him to mop up the juices..

Stuffed peaches baked. Last of my vanilla bean ice cream.

Re: Whats For Supper?

I made One Pot Chook, which I got off a TV program (Iain Hewitson) a few years ago, but had never made. It was very good, and I realise it was a tagine, by a different name.
So very exciting! I have cooked a recipe that has been waiting for me for a few years. I have cooked a tagine! and I made a very yummy supper!

Re: Whats For Supper?

Sounds good Joy, I'm looking around for recipes to use in my new slow coker (ppl don't use/sell them here so I've been without for years until OH finally bought me one from Amazon along with a plug adaptor wink) What did you use further?

Yesterday I put some ribs in a marinade, which are now in the slow cooker becoming tender before I grill them later till they are sticky and oozy. Iíll serve them with mashed potatoes to which Iíll add shredded raw endive, diced cheese and onion and a touch of mustard.
