A small salmon fillet cooked crispy skin (my trick: start with a cold pan and brush the fish with OO, not the pan) and cooked rare. Smidgeon of butter, lemon and fresh dill as a sauce. Smashed potatoes, fresh steamed asparagus drizzled with OO and lemon juice, served with my avocado and tomato chunky salsa- the coriander/cilantro that goes with it doesn't really need to be mentioned. I use coriander/cilantro on/in almost everything.
Dessert: some seedless grapes while I watched SATC on DVD.
Perfect girl night in

Last night we had roast pheasant with braised red cabbage and garlic mashed potatoes, and tonight will be roast leg of lamb with roast potatoes, roast parsnips and carrots, steamed green beans and gravy. Pudding will be stewed fruits with cream.

We had a simple smokey bacon risottio, followed by sticck toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream.

tray baked chicken and vegetables with fresh herbs, lemon and garlic, roasted asparagus . . . later apple/almond cake - made some of this to be eaten cold if our power goes out.
