How is scampi and chips "slumming it", Thistledo?
Used to be my regular pub-grub when I lived in London. Haven't had it since. You're welcome to send me leftovers
but I don't like my chips crisp. Fussy, aren't I
?

Re: Whats For Supper?
I have just taken some homemade meatball mix out of the freezer so that I can make meatballs for my darling . I made the mix about a month ago but did not need it all at the time so froze some in a contaner as it took up less room in my small freezer than freezing the meatballs.
so meatballs and sapaghetti with a tomato sauce for my darling .. and the later for me without the meatballs !

Re: Whats For Supper?
Chicken stew and rice. I 'dressed' it up by adding red wine...I made a simple roux, added shallots ( I'm out of onions), chicken stock and chicken. For my other seasonings: salt, pepper and celery seeds. I simmered this long enough for the roux to thicken the gravy, added 1/4 cup of wine (I only made two servings of this dish) and cooked until the chicken was done. Served it over rice. Simple and tasty.
