Re: Whats For Supper?

Lasagne tonight - found a recipe to try, so thought I'd give it a go ... Haven't eat lasagne for 3 years now.  Will do a nice salad to go with it!

Re: Whats For Supper?

Trout caught by a fly fisherman, for £4. Oven cooked. Served with new potatoes and leaves. Followed by White Chocolate panna cotta with, spiced rhubarb compote. Rhubarb cordial on the side. Superb.

Re: Whats For Supper?

Oliva, Jamie’s Lasagne are well worth looking at. Hunter’s lasagne rocks! Have not had Carbonara for a long time Larry Lamb showed a superb (very authentic) version, taught to him by an Italian Actor. I wonder if I will ever see that recipe again?
Previous nights supper was whiting at £6 a kilo, uber fresh cooked in egg and breadcrumbs, really nice.

Re: Whats For Supper?

@nGoose1 - for us it's got to be lactose free, gluten-free, grain-free and low-carb - Jamie's lasagne's are delicious (I used to make them before dietary restrictions kicked in), but they're not much good to me now  sad   But, I made a delicious sauce with lactose-free creme fraiche simmered with Lactofree cheese and a couple of egg yolks to thicken, and made "pasta" from pancakes made with eggs and tapioca flour, garlic, cheese, herbs and creme fraiche.  It was surprisingly good, and pretty much hit the spot!  Will be good for a very occasional treat!

Tonight we're having slow roast shoulder of lamb with roasted carrots and parnsips and garlicky spinach.
