What are your (non-recipe) food related movies?
Mine are "Babette's Feast"; "Chocolat" and an Asian one which I haven't bought because I can't remember its full title! Think it starts of as "Man ???" About a family-run restaurant, I think. Has been a while since I saw it.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Meanwhile, what are your favs?
Maree.

Sabs, thanks, you were right about "Eat, drink, man, woman". Have ordered it. Can't locate "Tampopo" or "Like water for chocolate- only the soundtrack).Had forgotten about them.
Arnaldo, kids loved the movie when they were little. Think we still have it on video. Unfortunately, in the last 10yrs have developed a reaction to the smell (let alone taste) of chocolate, red wine and coffee beans. Give me a migraine that lasts 2 days. Limits dining out etc.

Who can forget a certain scene in a certain Python move.
Babettes Feast is one of my all time favourite movies.

Re: What are your (non-recipe) food related movies?
I obviously need to get out and see more. Have heard of all these movies but not seen them.
Surprised that I couldn't get Tampopo or Like water for chocolate through Sanity.
Sadie, our SOHs co-incide here. Love that scene from Monty Python. I referred to it in one of my previous threads ("Last Meal Wishes"). One poster's wishes included so many courses etc that s/he said something along the lines of "would probably die from over-eating" (am para-phrasing here from memory. Then, I mentioned "that scene".
Can you remember what Monty Python it was from?
Cheers,
Maree
