Trug- in search of one

Anyone in Oz, preferably, to save on postage, know where I can obtain one?

They are veggie baskets with a handle to carry. From memory, JO uses one in his "Jamie at Home" series. Yep, I know any old basket will do, but these have a flat bottom so veggies don't "squish" each other.

There used to be a wonderful gardening shop in the Eastern suburbs. I kept meaning to buy one but baulked at the price. The business has since closed (isn't it always the way?).

Any suggestions welcome.

TIA, Maree.

Maree, maybe you could get one from a supermarket or a nursery.

Maybe if you know someone who welds you could get one made to your specifications.

Re: Trug- in search of one

thanks, shammy. The ones I was looking at/should have bought, were hand woven and so rustic. Could easily live a "double life" as baskets for display at the markets, my up-coming eBay site and my new website.
Will keep looking smile

Thanks, ppl. Will try your suggestions. Another case of "if you love it, and haven't maxed out the credit card, buy it, or lose it". Could have been a tax deduction, too! Bummer!!! C'est la vie. One learns from mistakes.

Maree,  I tried to get one on ebay, but kept being overbid by someone at the last second.  Maybe you would have better luck! big_smile

IKEA have a fair few baskets, and I have also seen alot of different sized flat ones in some of the cheap shops, cant remember which ones though.

You could try ringing this place to see if they take orders, they claim to have the biggest bunch of baskets under the sun.
